Introduction

QuoteTake is designed to help you estimate what a job really pays based on the information you enter.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use getquotetake.com.

Calculator Information

The job information you enter into the QuoteTake calculator is primarily processed in your browser.

QuoteTake does not automatically upload your calculator entries merely because you use the calculator.

This may include information such as:

• job price
• estimated work time
• travel time
• prep or administrative time
• supplies or materials
• helper or subcontractor costs
• other job costs
• payment or platform fees
• desired hourly target

This information remains on your device unless you voluntarily choose to submit it through another feature.

Feedback

QuoteTake currently includes an optional feedback feature.

When you voluntarily submit feedback, QuoteTake sends your yes/no feedback vote, optional written feedback, and limited calculator context. This context may include job price, effective rate, target rate, total committed hours, and an optional job name.

This feedback is stored using Cloudflare infrastructure. No QuoteTake account is required, and the feedback form does not intentionally request names, email addresses, passwords, or contact information.

Local Storage

QuoteTake may use your browser's localStorage to support limited site functionality.

LocalStorage is stored on your device and can generally be cleared through your browser settings.

Accounts

QuoteTake does not currently require you to create an account.

QuoteTake does not currently collect usernames or passwords.

Analytics

QuoteTake uses limited first-party product analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand use of core site features.

Product events contain only a preset event name and timestamp. They do not intentionally include calculator values or visitor identifiers.

Cloudflare and Hosting

QuoteTake is hosted using Cloudflare.

When you visit the site, Cloudflare may process technical information necessary to deliver and protect the website. This can include information such as:

• IP address
• browser or device information
• request information
• security-related information
• network and performance data

Cloudflare handles this information according to its own privacy practices.

Cookies

QuoteTake does not currently use advertising cookies or marketing cookies.

The site may rely on limited browser or infrastructure technologies necessary to deliver the website and its features.

Children

QuoteTake is not specifically directed to children under 13.

QuoteTake does not knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts because accounts are not currently offered.

Data Sales

QuoteTake does not currently sell personal information.

Calculator Disclaimer

QuoteTake provides estimates based on the information you enter.

QuoteTake does not provide tax, legal, accounting, financial, employment, or business advice.

The calculator should be treated as a decision-support tool rather than a guarantee of earnings, profitability, or business results.

Email correspondence

If you email QuoteTake, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. Sean Davis uses this correspondence to respond to your inquiry or manage requested work. QuoteTake uses Zoho Mail for business email.

Correspondence retention

We review correspondence monthly. Inquiries that do not become customer work are removed at the first monthly review after six months without substantive contact, unless a specific unresolved need requires retention.

We retain correspondence needed for open work or unresolved requests. Routine correspondence about completed customer work is removed at the first monthly review after twelve months from project closure or the last substantive customer contact, whichever is later, unless a specific unresolved need remains.

Essential business records, such as contracts, scope and acceptance records, invoices and payment records, are handled separately. Our normal retention-review point is seven years after the end of the calendar year containing project closure or final payment, whichever occurs later. Before deletion, we check applicable tax deadlines, continuing obligations and disputes. We retain only necessary records longer where those obligations or needs continue.

These correspondence and business-record periods do not set retention periods for website analytics or feedback.

Privacy requests and deletion

For privacy questions or deletion requests, email privacy@getquotetake.com. Sean Davis reviews requests and may ask for enough information to identify the relevant correspondence.

We remove eligible correspondence from our mailbox, including Trash, and explain any records retained or limits affecting deletion. Zoho may retain deleted messages for recovery and other copies under its retention policies. Mailbox deletion does not mean immediate removal from every provider system or from copies held by other recipients.

We keep a minimal privacy-request outcome record containing request and completion dates, the action taken and any retention exception. We remove it at the first monthly review after twelve months from closure unless a documented continuing obligation or dispute requires longer retention. We do not retain original correspondence or identity documents solely to document completion.

Changes to This Policy

QuoteTake may update this Privacy Policy as the product changes.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are made.
